Supported Social Walks
A calm, structured group walk designed to help dogs practice neutrality around other dogs and everyday distractions in real-life environments.
What are Supported Social Walks?
Our monthly Supported Social Walks provide a safe, controlled environment for dogs and their owners to practice calmer behaviour around other dogs without the pressure to interact.
These walks focus on building confidence, improving handler engagement and reinforcing calm responses in everyday situations. Every walk is carefully managed to ensure dogs remain comfortable and successful throughout.

Reactive Dogs Welcome
Our Supported Social Walks are designed to support dogs of all personalities, including those who are reactive, nervous or easily overwhelmed by their environment.
The aim is NOT for dogs to interact with one another. Instead, we focus on helping each dog feel calm and comfortable whilst working at a distance they’re able to cope with. Every dog is given the space they need to succeed.
Walks are carefully structured, with:
Small group sizes
Dogs remaining on lead throughout
No on- lead greetings
Plenty of space between dogs
A calm, supportive and judgement- free environment
If you are unsure whether your dog would be suitable, please get in touch before booking and I’d be happy to discuss your dog’s individual needs.
Equipment & Welfare
To support the welfare of every dog attending, I kindly ask that handlers use equipment that reflects my force-free philosophy. This helps ensure consistency, promotes positive learning and creates a safe environment for all dogs and owners.
How The Walks Work
Our Supported Social Walks take place once a month in Oxfordshire and are kept to small group sizes to ensure every dog receives the support they need.
During the walk, dogs remain on lead and our guided through practical exercises that encourage calm, neutral behaviour. The emphasis is on working together as a team rather than allowing dogs to greet one another.
Every walk is designed to be supportive and enjoyable while helping you transfer your training into everyday life.
